ABOUT

The Clotheslines Fashion Archive is a platform dedicated to dress and fashion, providing open access to a curated collection of garments, textiles, and supporting materials.

The inaugural collection, Contemporary Greek Fashion in Detail, draws directly from the private archives of twelve designers, design teams, and artistic collectives based in Greece, highlighting both the creative and technical dimensions of fashion design. Each participant is represented by a selected garment or accessory, documented through technical drawings, sketches, photographs, and complementary resources. Additionally, the patterns of these pieces are available, offering insights into garment construction and serving as an educational resource.

Structured into individual collections by designer, Contemporary Greek Fashion in Detail enables an in-depth exploration of each creative practice while allowing visitors to browse and search items using keywords, object type, or other filters. Through high-resolution imagery and downloadable resources, the archive serves as a structured yet flexible research tool for designers, scholars, and the broader public.

The designers featured in this initial phase (February 2024) are: 240791ek, 2WO+1NE=2, Angelos Bratis, Angelos Tsakiris, Blanc, Digitaria, Ioanna Kourbela, Maison Faliakos, MEUF, Serapis, Sophie Deloudi, Yiorgos Eleftheriades.
